A free PDF printer to convert any documents to PDF

This post is going to introduce one free PDF convertor which is really helpful for many of us.

Although doPDF works like a print driver, it installs normally like any Windows program. During the installation process, you have the option to set doPDF as your default printer, which can be handy for business PCs that are mostly used to generate electronic documents such as invoices and purchase orders. You can also set up the program with a wide range of languages, too -- all of them or as many as you need.

doPDF is a tool that can convert any printable document to a PDF, whether it's a text file, image or other. It doesn't have any advanced features, so it has been designed for a simple conversion process.

In "Properties", you can select page size as predefined (e.g. A4, Letter) or custom (by manually setting its height and width), set the unit type (millimeters, inches, points), configure graphic details (resolution and scale) and set orientation (portrait, landscape).
Then you can set the output name and destination, select "Small file" or "High quality images" and optionally enable doPDF to always use the current output folder, open PDF in reader or embed fonts.

9 reasons to use this free PDF converter
  1. It’s simple and fast - you select WHAT document to convert and WHERE to save it and doPDF makes the PDF way before you finish saying supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
  2. Saves you money - doPDF is a PDF converter free for both commercial/business and personal use. Won't cost you a dime to make PDF files (but we'll love you even more if you upgrade to novaPDF).
  3. 32-bit and 64-bit support - same setup can be used to install doPDF on both 32 and 64-bit Windows operating systems (and any 32-bit multiple when the time will come).
  4. Universal - you can convert to PDF any type of printable document (i.e. DOC, XLS, PPT, PUB, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PUBX, HTML, TXT,...).
  5. No GhostScript or .NET - doesn’t require 3rd party programs to make PDF files such as GhostScript or runtime environments like the .NET Framework. This makes the setup file to be incredibly small compared to other free PDF creator programs.
  6. Searchable PDFs - you can search for text within the created PDF file (and search engines will also index the text from the PDF).
  7. Multi-language - doPDF is the ONLY free pdf maker whose interface is currently available in 33 different languages and has a website translated in 30 languages (and growing, thanks to our translators).
  8. Barely uses any computer resources - compared to other free PDF creator software, doPDF barely uses any memory or CPU resources when doing the actual conversion to PDF.
  9. Do your part in saving the planet - instead of consuming paper to print your document, why not create a PDF file out of it and spare a couple of planet-saving trees?
